A reunion is being planned for D Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Regiment Marines and Navy Corpsmen of the Korean War. The dates will be 12-16 September 2012, in Bakersfield, CA. Reunion headquarters will be at the Marriott Country Inn, Bakersfield. Pepperdine University, Malibu, will be celebrating their 75 th anniversary and as part of that celebration, will be honoring Dog Seven members due to two Dog Seven related awards at the University, a scholarship dedicated to HN3 Richard DeWert, USNR, KIA while serving with D Company in April of 1951 and an endowment in the name of D Company CO Col Alvin Mackin, USMCR-Ret. The dates will be some time in October, 2012. Details will be posted when more information is made available.
